You Can Find the Anointing in Prayer

KENNETH: Oh, glory to God.
Hasn’t this whole Christmas week message
been wonderful. Now, I want to say something to
you out there and the radio and television
audience and of course you know what to
do if you’re watching the Victory channel on Roku or
wherever you’re watching it. Go back and rewatch this because
if… Particularly if you haven’t seen it. I know how busy
you are during Christmas week and all that. And go back in
there and not just watch it, study it because there’s a lot
of information that’s almost unheard of at Christmas time. A
lot of details and insight and biblical ideas and knowledge
about what was going on that whole time. And it’s important
that you know these things. Praise God. It’s exciting, isn’t
it? Isn’t it exciting? Glory to God. GLORIA: Hallelujah.
KENNETH: So let’s go back where we left off yesterday. We’ll go
back into the second chapter of the book of Luke and this is
where… Well let’s go to the eighth verse and pick up there.
There were in the same country, shepherds abiding in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night. So it’s nighttime as
we know, middle of the night. Lo, the angel of the Lord came
upon it and the glory of the Lord shone round about them and
they were afraid. Now, I commented on this yesterday.
There is, if you study it and dig into it… Well, and I mean
it is the glory of the Lord shown round about them. It
didn’t say it’s shown round about them in a 10 foot circle.
It lit up that countryside, like day. That’s why it frightened
them. Amen. They were so afraid. I mean it didn’t just
shake them up a little bit. I mean it scared them. They’re
just out there on the countryside, watching those
sheep and keeping them bedded down and so forth and it’s quiet
out there and suddenly, whoa. The whole place lit up. The sun
came up in the middle of the night is really the way it hits
them. The angel said unto them, fear not for behold I bring
great tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the City of David, a savior,
which is Christ the Lord. Now I want to go. We looked at that.
It came to pass as the angels were gone away from them into
heaven, the shepherds said to one another, let’s go to
Bethlehem. And I commented on that yesterday about angels back
before the day of Pentecost, while Satan was ruling with
Adam’s authority. Adam subjugated to him. This
before… I mean the angels had to get out of here. Remember
Jacob’s ladder coming and going? Now on the day of Pentecost,
that it didn’t say there was a rushing, mighty wind. It says
there was a sound like a rushing, mighty wind. That
sound, I’m convinced after 50 plus years, I am completely
convinced that that sound that they heard was the rushing of
multiple trillions of angels and the spirit of the living God
coming back into this atmosphere forever. God is in heaven. Jesus
in heaven. The Spirit of God isn’t he is right here and he’s
in you and he’s in me. Glory to God. GLORIA: Praise God.
KENNETH: Chapter one of the Book of Hebrews. Which of the angels
said, he at any time, sit on my right hand until I make thine
enemies thy footstool. Are they not all ministering spirits sent
forth. That’s the day they were sent forth is on the day of
Pentecost. Glory be to God. Wow. Hallelujah. And it’s all part of
the Christmas story. It all began right there. The beginning
of Satan’s end was right there. Hallelujah. And it’s not going
to be long soon, and very soon, glory be to God, he’s going to
be taken completely out of human contact forever. GLORIA: Good.
KENNETH: Yes! Hallelujah. GLORIA: Praise God. KENNETH:
Amen. Where was I in, when praise God. Thank you Lord
Jesus. GLORIA: You were somewhere between hell and
Pentecost. KENNETH: Yeah, somewhere between Bethlehem.
Praise God. Thank you Jesus. Verse 21, when eight days were
accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his
name was called Jesus, which was so named of the angel before he
was conceived in the womb. I want to skip from there because
we read that yesterday. Let’s go down here. He’s eight days old,
verse 25, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was
Simeon. The same man was just and devout, waiting for the
consolation, awaiting for the Messiah, of Israel and the Holy
Ghost was upon him. The Spirit of God was upon him and it was
revealed under him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see
death before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah, Christ, same
Word. He came by the spirit into the temple. He didn’t know
they’re circumcising a baby in there today. God led him over
there. And when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do
for him, after the custom of the law, then took he him up in his
arms and blessed God and said the Lord now lettest thou, thy
servant, depart in peace according to your Word, for mine
eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou has prepared before
the face of all people, a light to lighten the Gentiles and the
glory of the temple of Israel, of that people, Israel. And
Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were
spoken of him. Simeon blessed them and said unto Mary, his
mother, behold, this child is set for the fall and rising
again of many in Israel and for a sign which shall be spoken
against, yay a sword shall pierce through thine own soul
also that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. And
there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of
Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of great age and had
lived with a husband seven years from her virginity and she was a
widow of 84 years, which departed not from the temple,
but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. So she’s
91 years old. She coming in that instant. You get that? That
instant, say that instant. GLORIA: That instant. KENNETH: I
love it. That instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord
and spake of him to all them that look for redemption in
Jerusalem and when they had performed all things according
to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee to their
own city, Nazareth and the child grew and waxed, strong in
spirit, filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him. I
want to talk about the prayers. The intercessors. They knew
things others didn’t know. Only way you can know it was by the
Spirit of God revealing it. God always has his intercessor
someplace, somewhere on this planet. There’s always, ever
since the day of Pentecost, even when the church went through the
dark ages and all of that, and the Word was hidden, that God,
there never has been one day in the last 2000 plus years that
there wasn’t somebody on this earth talking in tongues. Glory
to God. Not since the day of Pentecost. I told you yesterday,
remember what I said yesterday? Not one Word, not one thing
that’s come from heaven into the earth has ever gone. The devil
can’t get it out of here. He has to deal with it once it gets
here. You can’t get rid of it. Once it’s revealed into this
earth, then the kindred spirit between heaven and earth,
particularly after Jesus is raised from the dead and the new
birth and the baptism of the Holy Spirit came into action.
See all of the gifts of the spirit were manifest in the old
covenant except two, tongues and interpretation of tongues. That
came on the day of Pentecost. All the rest of the gifts of the
spirit are manifest in the Old Testament. Amen. The prophets,
the kings, well, and particularly the Holy Spirit
being manifested in the gifts were reserved for the prophets
and the kings. They still are. Ow. You remember it? We’ve been
made kings. GLORIA: And priests. KENNETH: And priests in the
household of our God. Hallelujah. I don’t care if
you’re a shoe salesman in Hoboken, I mean you’re a prophet
and a priest and a King. Hallelujah. In the kingdom of
God. John the Baptist, the greatest prophet ever born in
the first testament, the first covenant, the born again, child
of God. Jesus is greater than he. John was not born again.
He’s a great preacher. Greatly, greatly anointed with a Word of
knowledge, praise God, knew who Jesus was. Thank you, Jesus.
Behold, the son of God, the lamb of God. Anyway, it’s the prayers
and those that take the time and you don’t have to pray every day
for 84 years, no. With the power of the Spirit of God in your
life, you take the time, you have to take the time to do it.
You can’t do it on the run. It doesn’t work that way and it
takes effort and you have to spend some time at it. Oh,
Brother Copeland, I don’t have time. Well take time. GLORIA:
Make time. KENNETH: But I mean, I have to go to work. I’m going
to go, and what are you doing between four and five in the
morning? Oh Brother Copeland. Now, don’t start crying to me
because you don’t have any. Get yourself up out of that bed.
Amen. Find you that perfect spot in your house. Well, I like to
pray in my car. Well go pray in it for an hour before you start
to the office, if that’s where you like to pray. I’m an outdoor
person. Gloria says the older I get, the more Indian I get. And
it has a lot to do with my heritage and my background, but
I don’t like to be inside. I don’t like it in the house. I
don’t like to pray in there. And sometimes I get stuck there and
I’m on the road in the hotel or something. But when I’m at home
and I like cold weather, but even during the summertime, I’ve
got two big fans out there on the deck, praise God, and I had
them fixed where I can turn them on with a remote control and you
get out there early in the morning and he would get the
fans going and blow the mosquitoes off of you in the
summertime. And then in the wintertime I got two little
portable patio heaters. And I mean those things, relatively
inexpensive. They just burn propane, and I’ve got two of
them and when it’s not all that cold, you just fire up one and
you sit out here and you’d turn it down and put your robe on and
whatever it needs and get out there. And if it’s really cold,
I’m talking about cold cold, fire up both heaters and you…
Now I’m just telling you my Gloria wouldn’t have anything to
do with this under any circumstance. She’d pray in the
bed or someplace. I can’t do that. No, no. I’d sleep through
whole thing if I do that. Jerry Savelle, he put it before God.
I’m going to get up and pray and read the Word for an hour, but
first thing. And he kept going asleep and so finally, in order
to keep from going to sleep, he went into the bathroom and stood
on the edge of the bath tub and I’m telling he really did this.
If he falls, he breaks his neck. So he, until he broke that
thing. GLORIA: There’s got to be a better way. KENNETH: Well,
what I’m talking about is the absolute commitment. GLORIA:
Yes. KENNETH: And Savelle had it then. And he has it now. So
that’s the reason he got healed of a stroke in one day. So what
I’m saying is the commitment that it takes to do that and
it’s worth every second of it. And so it’s really cold out
there. I got some thin robes and I got some really thick ones.
People give me a lot of robes. I got a bunch of them. But anyway,
I got one particular that’s bombing, that dude’s something.
And so then I put on a fleece vest underneath. I still got my
pajamas on and I put on a fleece vest under that and that robe
and turn up both heaters and sit between them and just have a
time man, just have at it. Go. I got my Indian blanket over my
legs. I was, yes, yes, yes. I mean, I do this in Colorado. I
don’t do it in the snow. No, it hadn’t come to that. But I got
my heaters in Colorado. If I don’t I just sit right there in
the living room where I can see the snow and just pray, just
pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, Gloria and I love that. Amen.
But what I’m talking about is the commitment to it. A prayer,
an intercessor. GLORIA: Praise God. KENNETH: Well, Brother
Copeland, I don’t really know how to start. Let me help you.
First Timothy, chapter two. First of all, brethren, pray
prayers of intercession and thanksgiving for all men, kings
and all that are in authority, that the church might live in
peace and honesty and godliness. For this is good in the sight of
God, our savior, who will have all men to be saved and come to
the knowledge of the truth that there’s one God and one mediator
between God and men, the Man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself
as a ransom for all to be testified of in due time.
GLORIA: Praise God. KENNETH: Then you bounce from there to
the 122 Psalms. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. That’s your
first two prayers. And don’t forget now the sixth chapter of
the Book of Ephesians. Pray, perseveringly for all saints in
the spirit. That’s the only way you can do that is in the
spirit. But you see it. It’s all there for you. Well, I don’t
know what to pray. Oh, you’re a candidate for Romans 8:26 and
27. Amen. Help us, take hold together with us
against our infirmities for we know not what to pray for as we
ought, but the Spirit of God are maketh intercession for us with
groanings, which cannot be uttered. Inarticulate speech is
literally what the Greek is referring to. Well, we know in
the Word those first things to begin praying about because
they’re scripture. Okay. Now what’s next? I pray for Mr.
Netanyahu, the Prime Minister, and he is the Prime Minister of
Israel. Amen. And then what’s next? I pray for the peace of
Washington D.C. And I pray for Donald Trump who’s President of
the United States. I pray for Mike Pence, who is Vice
President of the United States. I pray for Mike Pompeo who is
Secretary of State of the United States. I pray for Mark Esper,
who is Secretary of Defense of the United States. I pray for
Rick Perry, who’s Secretary of Energy. I pray for Betsy DeVos
who is Secretary of Education. And so forth and so forth. So
all of that’s built in. Hey, I’m in… Man, you’ve spent from 30
to 45 minutes right there and you get over in tongues that can
go on and on and on and on, which is a good thing. Amen. How
much time I got, Tim? Perfect. Now, as you’re doing that and
sometimes I do most of it, I say a thing or two and then start
praying in the spirit, started praying in tongues and I believe
I receive when I pray. Mark 11:24 didn’t say believe you
receive when you pray, along as you know what you prayed. No, it
just said, Jesus just said, believe you receive when you
pray and ye shall have it. So I’m praying, I’m praying in the
spirit. Well I believe I receive while I’m praying in the spirit.
And then I just come on down right then, I start praying for
my partners, glory to God. Then I take the directors of all
seven of our offices and oh, man, it takes me an hour and a
half, sometimes more than that to do it and I wind that up. My
next thing, I come in for the sun’s up, but now and I come in
and I hit that exercise room and I’m on the treadmill.
Glory to God, hallelujah. And we’re out of
time. ANNOUNCER: We hope you enjoyed
today’s teaching from Kenneth Copeland Ministries, and
remember Jesus is Lord.
