What do you think you’re really capable of? What do you think you really deserve? Can you really do what you want to do? Can you really achieve what you’re going after? Leave everything else. Leave the hard work, the dedication, the commitment. Leave everything. Ask yourself this first: What do you internally believe yourself to be capable of? Because it starts internally. As long as you have even a cinch of doubt that you cannot do what you want to, that doubt will haunt you till the end of your days. No matter how hard you work, how hard you try, you’ll always fall short. And every single time you fail, every single time, that doubt will take the front seat and you will try to rationalize your failure using that doubt. Maybe I’m not good enough. Maybe I’m not meant for this. Maybe I just can’t work hard enough. And that is where the problem lies. So strengthen your inner castles. This is an internal game. Now how do you do that? By getting flat out to work. Whenever you see a discrepancy between what you want and what you think you deserve, the only way to remove that discrepancy is by giving your mind proof that you deserve what you want, that you go in early and you come out late, that you stretch your boundaries, you stretch your limits, that you need to be rewarded because you put in the effort. Because until you do that, until you convince yourself that you’ve put in all the effort you could, until you’ve gone all in, until you’ve given it all your mind, all your heart and all your soul, you’ll always fall short. So there’s a change that needs to take place in your mind. And not only your mind, but also your goddamn soul. You should know in your soul, that ‘I’ve put in the work, I’ve put in the hours, I’ve gone all out, and so I must be rewarded with the things that I want to have.’ And when that change takes place, in your beliefs about yourself, then your efforts will give you results and you’ll stop settling for anything less than what you wanna have.
