The Curse Of Faith

Hi everyone. First of all can I just say to all the people who keep writing to tell me that I’m wrong when I say that Christians are born in debt to Jesus; don’t I realise that debt has already been repaid by Jesus? Well yes, of course, but only in the same way that a finance company will pay off all your current debts, but then you have to pay back the finance company, or there’s going to be trouble. Similarly, if you decide to welsh on the debt that you owe Jesus, the one that he paid with his precious blood, then you’re going to be in big trouble, my friend. In fact big is probably too small a word to describe the kind of trouble you’re going to find yourself in if you reject him as your saviour, because you’re going to fry for eternity. And eternity is not to be trifled with, because it’s forever. And we know this because they measured eternity and it came up exactly forever. And that’s what’s in store for you – eternal unimaginable suffering. And Jesus isn’t going to do a damn thing about it. Why? Because he doesn’t give a shit. That’s how much he loves you. I think after 2000 years if anything he owes us another crucifixion. You can’t live on past glories forever. Who does he think he is, Woody Allen? Come on. Anyway, because of this, today I’d like to say a few words about faith, which I think has the potential to enslave us all by stealth, because I think faith is a very dangerous and misleading word. It contains two completely separate entities which have got nothing at all to do with each other. One is good and one is evil. One is called spirituality, and the other is called religion. One is a private experience, and the other is a public nuisance. One leads to self-knowledge, the other to self-indulgence at everyone else’s expense. In one there is no compulsion, whereas the other depends on compulsion for its survival. One is grounded in innocence, the other in guilt. One embraces life, the other worships death. It’s hard to imagine how these two things could be any more different, yet for some reason they’re always sold to us together in a single package under the banner of faith. If you take one you’ve got to take the other. A bit like a pet shop giving away a free rattlesnake with every bunny rabbit. I’m not saying there isn’t more to this life than meets the eye, because there obviously is. Science has already shown us that. In the subatomic world it turns out that nothing is actually solid, if you can understand that, and some particles are so unpredictable we’re not even sure if they exist or not. They seem to be there and not be there at the same time, a bit like western democracy, or is that just me? But anyway it’s clear that we are part of a reality that we don’t fully understand. And if there’s a life force in this universe, and let’s face it, there must be, otherwise there wouldn’t be any life, it’s natural that we would want to make some connection with it, because everybody wants to feel more alive, right? But there’s no evidence that it requires worshipping, or any form of subservient behaviour, or that we are in any way central to its agenda, or even relevant to it, any more than any other organism on the planet, or in the universe – this universe or any other universe. So in that sense I think we really need to get over ourselves big time. Also, we need to stop pretending that all the manmade trappings of faith, the ornamental accessories if you like, are really anything more than just that. I’m talking about scripture, dogma, ritual, prophecy, religious law – all these things that have been put there to give religion some kind of structure, and to be fair that’s why they’re there, isn’t it It’s a bit like dressing the invisible man. Once he’s got some clothes on. you can see him. But of course you don’t see him; you see the clothes. And that’s the problem. Everyone has become so obsessed with the goddamned clothes we’ve forgotten if there was ever anyone there in the first place. If you’re a spiritual person, you don’t need religion, and you know it. And you’re certainly not interested in forcing your beliefs on to anybody else. If you’re not a spiritual person, then what the bloody hell are you doing on your knees praying like an idiot? Like some dog that’s been taught how to do something without understanding why. Get up and stop making a fool of yourself. Because your faith is not a virtue, it’s a vice. It’s a slave to dogma, to scriptural certainties which nevertheless are open to self-interested interpretation by men. Now, I’m sure even you can see the obvious flaw in that little arrangement. Also, faith in its Alice in Wonderland way, defines and measures itself according to lack of evidence. The less evidence there is, the more faith is required, and the more worthy it is of respect and deference, for some reason, not to mention large amounts of public money, generous tax breaks, and the freedom to fill the minds of innocent young children with violent superstitions and baseless fears. And this to me really is the curse of faith, and it’s something that shames us all from generation to generation, the cowardly way that we allow religion to be forced on to children in a clear violation of their human rights. Hypnotising them almost at birth, hijacking their lives, and turning them into little Christians, little Muslims, little Jews, before they have a chance to understand the first thing that’s involved. We live in such civilised times in the 21st century, don’t we? Human rights are everything to us. We fall over ourselves to give compensation to every cheap chancer, every lowlife criminal scumbag whose precious feelings have been hurt, but we don’t give a damn about the rights of children having their minds moulded and stunted by others before they’ve had a chance to fully form. Like dead-heading flowers before they’ve bloomed. It’s crime against humanity, is what it is, and one day it will be against the law. Tell that to Jesus, if you see him, and tell him from me to go and screw himself, to the nearest tree. Peace, and who knows, maybe one day civilisation.

I expect you have been called upon by our people since we believe we have a commission to preach from house to house. I enjoyed the film the 'life of Brian' as well. Obviously some of us actually believe there is a loving God. Anyway I do enjoy your videos , you have a way with words and expressing how the ordinary man feels, oh dear that was not politically correct I don't wand to offend the ladies amongst us oh and any of our lovely trans folk. So it's not ordinary man but person. Oh dear I said ordinary that is most likely to offend ordinary people who feel they are not ordinary, oh whatever . 2 fingers peace, in a V of course.

In my 66 yrs. I think Pat is the only person I've ever listened to for any real length of time who I 100 % agree with.

Pat Condell , is so on point, all the thoughts I have had, given voice. I wish I was as eloquent as you, or Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, but I am not ! Instead I have to be content with inwardly seething. Carry on with spreading common sense. Using words not suicide bombings, to get your point across.

If Jesus did come back, religion would build a wooden plank, and nail his ass to it. This is the only way religion and faith can survive.

Religion has a brilliant business plan ; Sell an invisible product ,
Nobody can come back to complain, and it`s all tax free !

Hell is real, and not accepting the Son of God pretty much guarantees you spend eternity cut off from the goodness and mercy of Almighty God. Poor Pat has made his deal with the devil, and he will lose unless he disavows his ignorance, arrogance and embrace of the evil that allows Islam and Satan. Pat Condell is preaching his own invented religion. He is not the first, he won't be the last. He should have sought God, and never did.

God wants faith for without faith there isn't any contract or love. If you don't have faith in your spouse how long can love exist. A contract cannot be binding without faith between the parties. He expects worship as he made everything by and for him as is written. Those that don't love him and have faith in him will perish as any sane God would have it.

If we didn't have religions we would have to think for ourselves – and we can't have that – can we?

    October 21, 2019 2:39 am

Hey, Patty Condell, guess who it is!! I argued with a load of people, and insulted you MANY TIMES in this very video 11 years ago, and although I gave up in the end, I'M BACK FOR ANOTHER ROUND NOW. ;*) And you think faith is a curse do you, you pathetic, ugly old fogey???? Well I'm going to be a curse to your channel, as I'm going to drive your subscribers away, by making their lives miserable here. ;*) I'm going to make your youtube existence miserable as well, you repulsive old fossil.

The first thing that hit me when I started this video just then is the horrible sound quality, and how DESPERATE your little atheist followers must be for people to tell them "they're right" to be the hateful detriments to society that they are, that they're readily willing to accept, and celebrate your poor quality content. I mean, I know being as ancient as you are, your hearing probably isn't quite what it once was, BUT THAT'S NO EXCUSE TO CHEAP OUT ON RECORDING EQUIPMENT LIKE YOU DO!!!!! I MEAN, COME ON!!! You're swindling your gullible little atheist fans out of money here!!!! The least you can do is use some of it to buy recording equipment that wasn't made back in the swinging sixties!!!!! I know you have fond memories of the sixties, back when you were a young man, and didn't feel quite so bitter, but please, change with the times, old man. In fact, you're so old that just watching your videos makes me feel like I'm in a retirement home.

    October 21, 2019 2:47 am

Whoaaaaaaaa… Pathetic Patty!!!!! I just looked you up on wikipedia, and I CAN'T BELIEVE you were only 58 when you did this video!!!! You WELL AND TRULY age like garbage, you genetically-challenged hole in the air. Why, if I had to guess, based on how you look in this video, I would've guessed you would've died of old age by now, 11 years later. All I can say is NO WONDER YOU'RE AN ATHEIST, when you aren't exactly blessed when it comes to your aesthetic "qualities". In fact, I'd also say you're FAR FROM BLESSED mentally and intellectually too, as it could be said that the things you say are "PATTY CONDELL'S COW PATTIES", since your words are verbal diarrhea.

    October 21, 2019 2:56 am

0:18 Errrrr… How is simply HAVING TO BEHAVE IN A CIVILISED MANNER "paying off a debt???" By making such a comment, you indicate that behaving morally is so hard for you, that it actually FEELS LIKE having to make a payment to you. I mean it comes easily for me to follow most of the commandments, except for the THOU SHALT NOT COVET WOMEN commandment, since it involves a GREAT DEAL of mental control and self-sufficiency. You on the other hand, come off as a slimy old failure who ISN'T EVEN WILLING TO TRY to live in a morally-upstanding manner, and that's what WELL AND TRULY makes you a totally, and utterly deplorable person. This "finance company comparison" is horrendously flawed from a logical standpoint, and fails to trigger any mirth in people with more than the slightest iota of maturity. I can't believe people once thought of you as a comedian. All I can say is the bar must've been PRETTY LOW back then.

    October 21, 2019 3:04 am

0:22 Your beloved atheist hero, Charles Darlose seemed to think otherwise, my son. I know you're going to tell me that old Charlie's family denied Charlie became a Christian again on his deathbed, BUT OF COURSE THEY WERE GOING TO SAY THAT, SO THEY COULD KEEP ON FINANCIALLY-BENEFITTING FROM HIS ATHEISTIC "LEGACY!!!" What are you atheists, TOTALLY NAIVE??? Given some of the fabricated drivel Stephen Hawking would make up in his books which you'd all eat up with vigor, I really do think you're all VERY NAIVE, and in a way, I feel sorry for you, for being so easy to lead away from God's Grace.

By the way, pathetic Patty, how does it feel to know you were posting youtube videos back when pewdiepie was only a teenager, and yet now he has, like FIFTY TIMES THE SUBSCRIBERS YOU DO??? I bet that REALLY MAKES YOU STEAM UP YOUR GLASSES IN RAGE EH, OLD MAN??????

    October 21, 2019 3:13 am

0:53 I find it quite intriguing though, Patty, how such a staunch atheist like you would talk about Jesus like he REALLY EXISTS, like you're doing!!!! After all, how could someone who "doesn't exist" care about anything???? You sure seem to put a lot of thought into what goes on in Jesus' thoughts, and that's why I think you slipped up without realising it here, by UNWITTINGLY CONFESSING that you BELIEVE in Jesus, but choose not to follow his tenets of benevolence, and love your neighbours, like he urged us to do. That's why I would advise all your atheist followers to THINK CAREFULLY before deciding whether they want to remain subscribed to your channel or not, since you seem like you want to lure them all away to a bad afterlife.

    October 21, 2019 3:20 am

1:01 You're a WELL AND TRULY delusional old waste of space. Jesus' "past glory" is SO IMMEASURABLY GREAT, compared to anything you all you atheists are capable of combined, it makes you seem increasingly insignificant. Just the fact that more than half the planet still loves and worships him AFTER 2,000 YEARS is proof of the power of his love. Whereas when you die Patty, I bet even YOUR OWN FAMILY are going to be wanting to forget about you, given all the shame you bring upon them, ranting and raving like a clueless idiot on youtube, embarassing them like you do. IT'S SO INCONSIDERATE OF YOU, AND YOU SHOULD HOLD THAT OLD HEAD OF YOURS DOWN IN SHAME. I know you might get a crick in your wrickled, withered old neck, holding your head down for so long, but it's your moral duty to your family.

    October 21, 2019 3:36 am

1:15 Does that mean you're afraid of FAITH if you fear it to be powerful enough to enslave you???? ;*) Given how you acknowledge Jesus to really exist, but choose not to follow him, it wouldn't surprise me, the idea of you being afraid of faith, with how I'm guessing you're possessed by an evil angel, and trying to mislead your vindictive little followers.

By the way, why do you have to shout random words???? Is it just a case of your old man tendency to start mumbling in the middle of sentences due to running out of breath, or is it just a case of your hearing failing you, and not being able to hear yourself speak??????

    October 21, 2019 3:42 am

1:15 I find it funny how you do exactly what you claim Christianity does, "ruling and swaying people through fearmongering". Make no mistake about it old man, you're fearmongering by irrationally trying to brainwash people with your paranoid rhetoric about "sneakily being enslaved by faith". For someone so adamant that Christianity "is bad", you hardly do a good job of coming off like you embody the opposite qualities. Furthermore, if faith inherently contains love, optimism, and celebration of life, then how can it possibly be a curse????? Are you saying you're AGAINST love, optimism, and the celebration of life???? Somehow that wouldn't surprise me, given your shady nature. All I can say is you must have an ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE persecution complex. To me, that's another sign that the old man is losing his mind, and maybe becoming dangerous to himself, and those around him. ;*(

    October 21, 2019 3:51 am

1:31 Errrr… How can religion be a "public nuisance" when over 7 billion people follow various religions??? If anything, I'd say you're the public nuisance for SO ANNOYINGLY whingeing and crying about it, irritating the majority of the planet. Tell me, why should a degenerate minority like what you're part of enjoy greater status and rights than the religious among us???? Because to be honest, you atheists come off as being mentally defective compared to the rest of humanity, in my view, given that your minds aren't capable of adhering to God's benevolent, guiding commandments.

    October 21, 2019 4:00 am

1:51 How can Christianity "worship death" if us Christians live in the hope that we'll eventually be gifted with eternal life in love and harmony alongside our lost loved ones???? Jesus dying on the cross to save us ISN'T a celebration of death. It's a celebration of love, eternal life, and salvation. You know what really is a celebration of death and decay though? You atheists, finding negativity, and things to nitpick in Christianity, something which benefits MORE THAN HALF OF HUMANITY!!!! Especially with how you often live such self-destructive lives, taking drugs, breaking the law, sleeping around, etc. With how you've aged so badly Patty-boy, I'm guessing you probably have quite the extensive history of drug abuse yourself, eh????

    October 21, 2019 4:07 am

1:54 To be honest, I think the same could be said against science. People claim it's essential to societal progress and advancement, but seeing all the guns and nuclear weapons all over the planet, I have to ask, "is it really PROGRESSION and ADVANCEMENT to blow each other up????" Sure, people will praise science for the wonderdrugs which "enrich our lives", but we all know it's animals who pay the real price for these medicinal advances, don't we, as they're forced to be guinea pigs, testing these medicines as they go through their various phases of development. So why lambast religion, which you claim is guilty of similar transgressions Pat, and yet follow something else which is guilty of similar misdeeds???

    October 21, 2019 4:09 am

2:06 Whereas with you videos, all the viewers get, is the rattlesnake. There's no cute bunny rabbit in sight.

    October 21, 2019 4:14 am

2:24 Why believe in those particles if even scientists aren't sure if they exist, then????? Why do you NOT believe in God and Jesus if some people consider it debatable whether they exist or not???? Why do you choose one, and not the other??? Make no mistake about it, you're having FAITH in the opinions of these scientists who claim these subatomic particles exist. I think you choose one, and not the other is because the one you choose doesn't require you to live life in an ethical manner.

    October 21, 2019 4:19 am

2:52 The Bible is evidence that our creator requires worshipping. And besides that, isn't it polite to worship God after he created us all???? Or do you atheists not believe in courtesy, either???? I honestly don't see where you atheists get off, so conceitedly believing that you somehow deserve equal treatment to the "life force" that gave rise to your existence.

    October 21, 2019 4:27 am

2:58 Suddenly the conceited atheist has a personality change, and insists that us humans need to be more humble, and accept that we "aren't important????" Where's all this humility when you speak as if you atheists are "more intelligent", and "more adept at critical thought" than all the countless generations of people, and great thinkers of times gone by who believed in, and lived their lives in accordance to the Bible? Do you think you're smarter than Einstein and Newton, Pat, and yet somehow possibly less important than say, cochroaches and sea fungi, assuming this "creative life force" you believe in somehow considers cochroaches and sea fungi more central to existence as we know it than humanity????? And furthermore, why believe in other universes if you've never actually set foot in them, and personally experienced them for yourself????/ And if you've done this, how were you able to determine that this "alternate universe" was a different one to our own????/ Was there floating signposts or something, indicating you were entering this "other universe????"

    October 21, 2019 4:32 am

3:13 But I thought faith was the "sly, covert, enslaving force that we needed to worry about???" So why are you suddenly telling us what we "need to do", and how we "need to think?????" If we want to accept that the Bible is holy, and divinely inspired, then that's up to us, given we live in free countries. To be honest, you're starting to come off as being the one who seeks to "mentally enslave humanity" by trying to control our thoughts and behaviours. You're the minority group, and YOU'RE THE ONES who need to keep your atheism as a shameful little secret, behind closed doors, because atheism isn't a desired, useful quality. All it brings to the table is division, conflict, and whingeing.

    October 21, 2019 7:30 am

3:53 What's this, an effort to divide and conquer, telling spiritual people they don't need Christianity??? I think we need to let spiritual people be the ones who decide whether they need Christianity or not!!! I'd imagine you'd agree with me, and concede that you erred here by trying to influence their thoughts, like that sneaky, slimy rattlesnake that you are!!!!! After all, if you well and truly are fighting to stop people from being mentally enslaved, then you yourself should be able to admit you were wrong by trying to tell spiritualists if they need religion or not!!!! So let's hear you admit that you were wrong, Patty boy. I'm sure it'll help you to save some face, and not come off like such a massive hypocrite in front of your viewers.

    October 21, 2019 7:35 am

3:58 You mean like you do, spouting your narrow-minded anti-religious beliefs, trying to make them sound factual???? If you weren't trying to force your beliefs on people, then explain your words at 3:13 when you were telling Christians not to think of the Bible as being divinely inspired????

    October 21, 2019 7:43 am

4:03 Already forgotten what you said about forcing views on others, 5 seconds ago did we, old Pat, where you told spiritualists they don't need to force their views on others in the kind of tone that would indicate you too disagree with forcing one's views on others???? So if you're so anti-tyrannical, and so against forcing views on others, why are you telling non-spiritualists who pray to "get up", and trying to bully them into compliance by making the asinine claim that they look like "idiots" by doing so???? Trying to bully people psychologically into accepting your views as fact is undeniably trying to force your views onto others. Moreover, if Christians who bow before God are "dogs who have been taught a trick", then what does that make you, talking about subatomic particles that you haven't seen, and talking about how they "might be real" and "might not be"?????/ It sounds to me like you'll blindly believe anything scientists tell you, as if you believe they'd never tell you a lie. You poor, deluded little sap. I honestly think you need to be put in a home for your own protection, so lying scientists can't trick you, quite so easily.

    October 21, 2019 7:49 am

4:22 Well considering that the Bible was originally written in ancient Hebrew, there's obviously going to be differing opinions on the translations and interpretations of it, given figures of speech and what not, which might not have effectively translated from Hebrew to English. Your paranoia and inherent lunacy seems to be making you more forgetful by the minute, Patty!!! And looking at your face, your psychotic wide eyes, and your smarmy, snake-like smile as you rant and rave Pat, it becomes all the more evident to me that you're possessed by evil. Your definitions of virtue and vice are obviously going to be irrevocably skewed.

    October 21, 2019 7:58 am

4:34 So faith is Alice in Wonderland-like, but evolution isn't??/ Indeed, your talk of how faith defines itself by lack of evidence makes me think of how the more faults and logical inconsistencies people find in evolutionary dogma, the more atheists and scientists make up twists and additions to it, in a desperate attempt to keep it relevant, claiming for instance that our bodies still store fat "because evolution hasn't caught up yet, and realised that we're living safely in towns and cities where food is abundant". Somehow I doubt it'll ever catch up. I mean theoretically, evolution was intended to facilitate the survival and prosperity of living creatures, so how does it help us to survive if it's so slow to adapt to our changing habitats and behavioural traits???? It makes me think of times when I've told evolutionists that the idea of groups of apes splitting away from their fellow apes, to leave the safety of their trees and live on land where they were more vulnerable to predation is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!!! At which point, they'd grasp for straws, and come up with theories about "changes in land formation" occuring, separating the groups of apes, and forcing them to live apart. I'm thinking, "what do you have topological maps showing the world as it was 'tens of thousands of years ago' all of a sudden????" It's just absolute madness!!!

    October 21, 2019 8:06 am

4:49 If the church is separated from the state, they won't have to pay any taxes at all, so I'm sure you'd be criticising them for that, then. So if you're going to criticise them for being one with the state, and claiming public money, but also criticise them for being separate from the state and NOT PAYING TAXES, what will it take to make think they've done the right thing? Seriously, your overpowering hatred for what you don't understand seems to blind you to the logic of the situation.

    October 21, 2019 8:13 am

4:52 If that's the case, then how are influential scientists able to force high schools to teach older students science lessons FIVE TIMES A WEEK, whilst Christianity doesn't even get its own subject, instead being lumped in with every other religion in generic Religious Education lessons which take place, like once or twice a week?????? Surely if Christianity had all this power and ability to influence children like you claim, then it'd be lessons about Christianity that would be appearing five times a week on school timetables? No, you're just totally oblivious to what's going on in the world, you senile old man. And why would churches be teaching kids to behave violently and savagely if it was also needing to "threaten them with 'baseless fears'"???? That would seem a tad contradictory, eh??? It'd seem your futile efforts to slander Christianity have made you contradict yourself, and make yourself look like a big fool, yet again. Don't you ever give up?

    October 21, 2019 8:18 am

4:59 If something that you don't believe in somehow is able to shame you, then all I can say is you must be a very insecure little man. I'll tell you something, I'm glad it makes a whingeing old loony like you feel ashamed, because you don't deserve to lead a shame-free existence. And it doesn't "shame us all". You don't speak for everyone. I'd dare even say you don't speak for all the 500,000,000 atheists in the world, and you CERTAINLY DON'T speak for the 7 billion+ theists in the world, so stop trying to add weight to your arguments by claiming you have people behind you, eh????? We all know you're just a sad, lonely old man, feeling bitter that he days in comedy are long behind him.

    October 21, 2019 8:24 am

5:06 So it's "cowardly" to allow children to learn of Christianity, but it isn't cowardly to turn a blind eye to atheist groups such a nambla who politically lobby for the governments of the west to be more lenient and understanding of the "plight" of paedophiles, eh???? Furthermore, have you ever expressed condemnation of ricky "dorky dorkins" dawkins for his claim that "mild paedophilia did him no harm", and that parents of children with down syndrome should have abortions???? Where's your disapproval for corpulent "free thinkers" like Chris Hitchens stuffing his fat face with copious amounts of junk food whilst kids in third world countries starve??????? I guess you aren't the quintessential knight in shining armour after all, eh?

    October 21, 2019 8:29 am

5:17 And yet you'd be fine with filling the heads of children with unproven evolutionary theories and unproven big bang theories before they can learn about Christianity, eh???? Seriously, how big a hypocrite are you???? And given that the parents of children take them to churches, and tell them about God, Jesus, angels and Heaven, well I'd say parents are WELL WITHIN THEIR RIGHTS TO DO THAT WITH THEIR OWN CHILDREN!!!! Would you rather the government SEIZE ALL CHILDREN from their parents as soon as they're born, and then indoctrinate them with scientific propaganda as soon as they're old enough????? For someone who claims to be so pro-Brexit, you sound like a huge nazi/communist to me.

    October 21, 2019 8:35 am

5:39 How can you be sure the minds of "all children" haven't fully formed????? There's children out there that can play competitive Chess games against grandmasters. There's children out there who can get higher grades on GCSE exams than 15-16 year old high school students. I'd also imagine there's MANY children out there smarter than you, so quit trying to make them sound so vulnerable and exploited, will you? We live in times when "good old big brother" won't hesitate from taking peoples kids away from them, and putting them in care homes where they'll be abused the second they get the slightest inclination that those kids are being mistreated by their parents, so I'd advise you to actually GET OUT INTO THE WORLD and learn how things work before you open your mouth and make yourself look like an idiot.

    October 21, 2019 8:39 am

5:52 You want Christianity to be against the law???? But from what you say at 3:13, I thought you didn't condone trying to force your views and belief systems on others????? I guess I was right about you being a fascist nazi, trying to come off as a humanitarian.

    October 22, 2019 9:26 am

If faith is "humanity's ball and chain", pathetic Patty, then why aren't you VASTLY more successful and prosperous than the majority of humanity, if you aren't attached to that "ball and chain???" After all, if 7 billion+ of us humans are "burdened" by the "ball and chain", then that'd put you at a MASSIVE ADVANTAGE compared to the rest of us, right???? So why aren't you making tons and tons of money, and feeling happy and blissful enough that you don't need to constantly whinge about the state of the world???? After all, you're an old fogey, who doesn't have many years left in him!!!!! So the world's concerns aren't really yours! Somehow I think that if you really were one of these "super intellectuals" who isn't "attached" to the "ball and chain", then you'd have A WHOLE LOT MORE TO BOAST ABOUT, than just a failed career as a forgettable comedian in the early nineties, eh????? I mean when it comes to famous comedians, you aren't exactly in same league as Jim Bowen, Les Dennis, Les Dawson and Peter Kay, are you???? Just so you can't accuse me of cherry picking, I'll even acknowledge that your fellow atheist comedians, Mike Reid and Dave Allen were WAY MORE SUCCESSFUL than you, also.

6:05 I very much doubt you ever want the world to "get civilised", Patty boy. You hardly come off as the nicest, most understanding, most diplomatic person in this video. Despite how you try to come off as a big "humanitarian", and "caring protector of the rights of children" in this video, your frequent swearing, and that gleeful look you get on your ugly mug when you think you're angering Christians tells me you'd always be looking for things to criticise, condemn, and pick faults at, even if ALL RELIGION was someday abolished. That's because you're the type of person who simply ISN'T CUT OUT for a civilised society.
