I’m not really good at the speech thing with awards ’cause I’m not used to receiving them, but of course, first of all, thank God for just the blessing of still being here and… [ Cheers and applause ] To my mom, Helene, who’s here, thank you for making sure I was involved in the culture and involved in musical things, no matter whether they were in church or not. [ Chuckles ] Thank you to my grandmother — happy 85th birthday… [ Cheers and applause ] …for keeping me in the church. And rest in peace to my dad, Bob Kennedy. Thank you guys for raising me right. Shout-out to all my family, Brick City. I love you all. My Brooklyn family, my Florida family.
